Phi Kappa Phi’s mission is “To recognize and promote academic excellence in all fields of higher education and to engage the community of scholars in service to others.”
Eligibility: Each fall, the UW-Madison Chapter sends membership invitations to students in all fields of study.
- Graduate students in the top 10% of their class
- Seniors in the top 10% of their class
- Juniors in their second semester and top 7.5% of their class

The National Chapter of Phi Kappa Phi offers a series of grants and awards every year. In addition, the UW-Madison chapter offers the Zillman Summer Research Fellowship, which supports summer research projects.
