Phi Kappa Phi is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious honor society that is open to students in all disciplines. Phi Kappa Phi recognizes the achievements of the most outstanding students in every school and college at UW-Madison.
Eligibility: Each fall, the UW-Madison Chapter sends membership invitations to students in all fields of study.
- Graduate students in the top 10% of their class
- Seniors in the top 10% of their class
- Juniors in their second semester and top 7.5% of their class
Student members of the UW-Madison chapter of Phi Kappa Phi are eligible to apply for our chapter’s Theodore W. Zillman Summer Research Awards, as well as for the national Phi Kappa Phi organization’s Fellowships and Awards. Visit the Phi Kappa Phi national website for other benefits of Phi Kappa Phi membership.
The UW-Madison chapter feels that membership in Phi Kappa Phi should be accessible to all students. If the membership fee is a hardship, please contact Phi Kappa Phi Secretary Debbie Berger at (608) 265-2428 or phikappaphi@wisc.edu to inquire about a membership fee waiver.
Congratulations to the newest Phi Kappa Phi members inducted on April 21, 2024!
